2016 IS UPON US AS WE FACE THIS WORLD
AND PONDER UPON HUMANITY — THE MANY PRESSING ISSUES

Last year challenged us all — more, when millions of refugees had to leave their homeland and leave for far off places to find succor and survive. Thousands arrive daily on borders — only to face more hurdles.

World leaders and leading the charge Pope Francisco has spoken again and again about the poor and those suffering — our duty to refrain from killings and shootings — beheadings — and other uncalled for atrocities. No faith aspires towards mayhem — compassion is what we ought to embrace.

As human beings — most human beings inherently are prone to help one another. We also have the fanatics — one track minded — a bent on having their own way. We know this kind of behavior, will not work — fire begets fire — and war is not the answer.

Peace is.

Some of us old enough to know better — having the wisdom — being in the company of astute policy makers — have tried our best to bring solutions. As will all know; anyone can be destructive — to build and bring hope and peace — is difficult — and those that pursue hope and peace — win in the short and long run.

Caught in this bind — the many crossroads — tying to flee from harm — to get to a place to be free. Women, men, infants, children, youth, young adults — our beloved seniors — there are many countries and world leaders that have stepped up to help — more needs to be done. The continuous scourge of war — is too much to bear.

Much as many world leaders have agreed to address Climate Change and Sea Level Rise; the ongoing issues at hand; we pray and hope — that we cease to encourage war and embrace peace. For once make greater efforts — to address the kinder aspects of humanity — as most humans beings are inclined — to do.
